Innovation Adoption Programme Manager

Salary £50,952 - £57,349 pa pro rota NHS Band 8a

Join our Innovation and Adoption Team where you will be responsible for an evolving portfolio of programmes which support innovation adoption across Wessex.

With programme and project management experience in a relevant setting, we welcome applicants with an interest in digital, mental health, health inequalities, workforce, patient and public involvement and engagement and environmental sustainability.

With a clinical background, and programme & project management experience in a relevant setting, we welcome applicants with an interest in safety culture, health inequalities, workforce, patient and public involvement and engagement and environmental sustainability.


Associate Director - Innovation Adoption

Salary £70,417 - £81,138 pa pro rota NHS Band 8c

Fixed term contract 16 months

Full time 37.5 hours per week

You will need a tenacity to succeed, great communication and project management skills, an ability to build new relationships quickly, and the capability to drive innovation in practice. You may not feel you meet all aspects of the role, but we welcome applications from people with a wide range of past experiences whether that be clinical, NHS management or from industry – an appreciation of the challenges involved with innovation deployment and transformation in the NHS is an advantage to succeed in this role. Past experience of commissioning, transformation and project management are also advantageous.

Health Innovation Wessex is based at the University of Southampton Science Park in Chilworth, close to central Southampton and easily accessed from the M3 and M27 motorways, and Southampton Parkway train station.

We are located in bright modern offices, with free parking and a café and networking spaces on site. 27 acres of the Science Park site are designated a protected Conservation Area and staff are encouraged to explore them.
